Shiny Headbands

No matter how down, upset or angry I get, shiny headbands always make me happy.

I just had an experience where I lost my faith and respect in a person. It is crazy how badly you can misjudge a person's  feebleness and laziness. You try to justify it, saying 'oh, they're having a hard time,' or 'they are trying but, the economy, blah blah blah.' Then one day it just fucking hits you. The problem is them. They don't care to make their life better. They like to be a leech in life. It's really fucking sad. I feel so disappointed and slightly heartbroken. I can't believe I could be so blinded by a person's true character, or lack thereof. This is going to take some time to get past. I have plenty of acquaintances that are scumbags. I like them and they are fun to party with. I have never considered any of them close to me. I actually respect that they can admit they are d-bags. However, they have never pretended to be good people, nor have they ever put on a front. They don't talk shit, when they are in the same place. It's take it or leave it. When I am with them I know I have to look out for myself. I am okay with this. Now is the time to start distancing myself from fakers. When stuff like this happens, you realize how few genuine people still exist. Not to claim that I am one of them, but I have never been fake. I speak my mind. I tell the brutally honest truth. It is hard for me to bite my tongue. My personality is not for a lot of people. I have few actual friends. I prefer this. I know that these people are actually my friends. They accept who I am. I love the shit out of them. We are all old enough that we know nothing/no one really changes. I guess that was the problem, attempting to be friends with someone who was too young.

So today I am in search of a shiny headband.
