Today is the last day of 2010. Next year is going to be a crazy one for me.
In March we are going to Vegas, as usual, but this year we will be having my bachelorette celebration.
In August, Little J turns 21 and hopefully he survives that. I will be 26 on the 26th. Yay for that! For my birthday celebration we are going to Vegas and then to LA to see Taylor Swift.
In September after 26 years of being a Tresner, I will no longer be. After six years of dating, I will be marrying Matt. Right after which, we will be going on the most radtastic cruise of all time. So really looking forward to next year.

Challenges
I generally think that new year's resolutions are bs. I mean if we all just acted like we should they would be completely unnecessary. I have been counting my calories since October 11 and as of last Saturday have lost 11lbs. I definitely need to step it up and lose a lot more than that. Everyone has been talking about resolutions and all that jazz. So I decided to issue myself some challenges for 2011. A new decade, hopefully a new prospective. I am getting married in 2011 and definitely have that bridal 'I need to lose weight asap,' mindset going on. So here are my challenges for 2011, we will see how much determination I have:
For January only - No fast food, no cookies, doughnuts or ice cream.
All year - Exercise 30 minutes a day at least four days a week and drink alcohol only once a month (unless on vacay).
Seems pretty easy, right? I guess we'll see.

Fairytales, Loves and Friends.
Matt is the sweetest most romantic person I have ever met. I feel really bad for the rest of the world, as there is only one of him. We have been together for over 5 1/2 years and still go on a date every week. Everyday with Matt is like a fairytale. Next year we will have happily ever after. It will be the middle of our fairytale, not the end.
Everyday I spend with J is a fairytale. If fairytales revolve around vodka, dancing and general shenanigans.

Things that suck
Zits, being tired, the price of fixing/maintaining you car, exercising, being hungover, working and math.
But the thing that sucks most of all is nightmares.

Shiny Headbands
No matter how down, upset or angry I get, shiny headbands always make me happy.
I just had an experience where I lost my faith and respect in a person. It is crazy how badly you can misjudge a person's feebleness and laziness. You try to justify it, saying 'oh, they're having a hard time,' or 'they are trying but, the economy, blah blah blah.' Then one day it just fucking hits you. The problem is them. They don't care to make their life better. They like to be a leech in life. It's really fucking sad. I feel so disappointed and slightly heartbroken. I can't believe I could be so blinded by a person's true character, or lack thereof. This is going to take some time to get past. I have plenty of acquaintances that are scumbags. I like them and they are fun to party with. I have never considered any of them close to me. I actually respect that they can admit they are d-bags. However, they have never pretended to be good people, nor have they ever put on a front. They don't talk shit, when they are in the same place. It's take it or leave it. When I am with them I know I have to look out for myself. I am okay with this. Now is the time to start distancing myself from fakers. When stuff like this happens, you realize how few genuine people still exist. Not to claim that I am one of them, but I have never been fake. I speak my mind. I tell the brutally honest truth. It is hard for me to bite my tongue. My personality is not for a lot of people. I have few actual friends. I prefer this. I know that these people are actually my friends. They accept who I am. I love the shit out of them. We are all old enough that we know nothing/no one really changes. I guess that was the problem, attempting to be friends with someone who was too young.
So today I am in search of a shiny headband.

Hoy hoy hoy
We are so close to Santa Day and for the first time in years I actually have to go out shopping the week of. So I am venturing out to West Valley. I figure since it's ghetto, perhaps there will be less people shopping there.
Just thinking about "rock bottom." For some people, like myself, one tiny scare will knock their bad behaviour out. Four years ago I received a public intoxication ticket for trying to sleep one off in my car. I still protest this ticket, although I did pay the fine. I was freshly 21 and didn't know the bullshit rules yet. Before this happened I was drinking nearly very single night. You can find a party for every night of the week, if you are that crazy. It's true though, it's not a party if it happens every night. So that was my scare, I stopped drinking for 81 days, on my own free will. No court orders for me. After which, I slowed down tremendously. Then I ran into the problem where I would only drink occasionally, but when I did I would go balls to the walls. Or whatever that saying is. So this year, I vomit volcanoed in my sleep. So since then I have been drinking very little (at least for me). Also I have been laying off the hard liquor and drinking wine and wine coolers.
Rock bottom is so different for everyone. I know people who have one dui, two duis, who have ruined their chance of ever driving a car again due to alcohol and still that isn't rock bottom. People who have lost their jobs, kids and homes. In addition, several members of my family are lifelong alcoholic/drug addicts who have basically nothing and no one and they still continue on. I just don't understand the appeal. It's not a party anymore, it's just a slow death.

Santa Day and Wedding Thoughts
For the past few years living with Matt, we have just been opening our christmas presents at the earliest point in time I can talk him into it. Last year I decided that we were no longer celebrating christmas. We are not religious and I just didn't want to do it anymore. I hate faking things. Matt still wanted to do presents and all that jazz. If we ever decide to have a kid, he wanted them to have Santa. So we decided on Santa Day. It's exactly the same just minus christ and the mass.
Yesterday we made cookies for all of our co-workers and friends. Seven hours of baking. Over 200 cookies. Jeez. Luckily I came out with only two battle wounds. Today I will be delivering those cookies to our friends. Then on Friday we get to make more cookies for family for Saturday. Fun, fun.
This holiday just seems like a bummer this year. I am a real effing grinch. I resent having to buy gifts for people because we are getting married next year. We are paying for We are doing the smallest wedding that we possibly can (no courthouse for Matt). It still is a little over $7000, not including our honeymoon. Which incidentally is the part I am actually looking forward to.
The wedding planning has been real fun. We have bought/paid for everything we can being this far out. Except we still owe the venue tons of monies. I have all of the favors and centerpieces. It's all real cute. Kelsie came over this weekend and helped me sort out buttons for the flower(button) girl. She is helping me so much. She came up with some awesome ideas for these cupcake doodads that I bought. Also I still have to get the dress. But we are 10 months out. I just can't understand why people buy it so far in advance. Your body could completely change by then. K said because of alterations and all of that. Jordan, my man of honor is moving back to Utah soon. When they both have a free weekend we will start looking soon.
