Bummer

It's sorta sad that no one even wants to try to be nicer to each other on the first work day of the year. geesh.

2011

Today is the last day of 2010. Next year is going to be a crazy one for me.
In March we are going to Vegas, as usual, but this year we will be having my bachelorette celebration.
In August, Little J turns 21 and hopefully he survives that. I will be 26 on the 26th. Yay for that! For my birthday celebration we are going to Vegas and then to LA to see Taylor Swift.
In September after 26 years of being a Tresner, I will no longer be. After six years of dating, I will be marrying Matt. Right after which, we will be going on the most radtastic cruise of all time. So really looking forward to next year.

Challenges

I generally think that new year's resolutions are bs. I mean if we all just acted like we should they would be completely unnecessary. I have been counting my calories since October 11 and as of last Saturday have lost 11lbs. I definitely need to step it up and lose a lot more than that. Everyone has been talking about resolutions and all that jazz. So I decided to issue myself some challenges for 2011. A new decade, hopefully a new prospective. I am getting married in 2011 and definitely have that bridal 'I need to lose weight asap,' mindset going on. So here are my challenges for 2011, we will see how much determination I have:
For January only - No fast food, no cookies, doughnuts or ice cream.
All year - Exercise 30 minutes a day at least four days a week and drink alcohol only once a month (unless on vacay).

Seems pretty easy, right? I guess we'll see.

Fairytales, Loves and Friends.

Matt is the sweetest most romantic person I have ever met. I feel really bad for the rest of the world, as there is only one of him. We have been together for over 5 1/2 years and still go on a date every week. Everyday with Matt is like a fairytale. Next year we will have happily ever after. It will be the middle of our fairytale, not the end.

Everyday I spend with J is a fairytale. If fairytales revolve around vodka, dancing and general shenanigans.

Things that suck

Zits, being tired, the price of  fixing/maintaining you car, exercising, being hungover, working and math.

But the thing that sucks most of all is nightmares.

Shiny Headbands

No matter how down, upset or angry I get, shiny headbands always make me happy.

I just had an experience where I lost my faith and respect in a person. It is crazy how badly you can misjudge a person's  feebleness and laziness. You try to justify it, saying 'oh, they're having a hard time,' or 'they are trying but, the economy, blah blah blah.' Then one day it just fucking hits you. The problem is them. They don't care to make their life better. They like to be a leech in life. It's really fucking sad. I feel so disappointed and slightly heartbroken. I can't believe I could be so blinded by a person's true character, or lack thereof. This is going to take some time to get past. I have plenty of acquaintances that are scumbags. I like them and they are fun to party with. I have never considered any of them close to me. I actually respect that they can admit they are d-bags. However, they have never pretended to be good people, nor have they ever put on a front. They don't talk shit, when they are in the same place. It's take it or leave it. When I am with them I know I have to look out for myself. I am okay with this. Now is the time to start distancing myself from fakers. When stuff like this happens, you realize how few genuine people still exist. Not to claim that I am one of them, but I have never been fake. I speak my mind. I tell the brutally honest truth. It is hard for me to bite my tongue. My personality is not for a lot of people. I have few actual friends. I prefer this. I know that these people are actually my friends. They accept who I am. I love the shit out of them. We are all old enough that we know nothing/no one really changes. I guess that was the problem, attempting to be friends with someone who was too young.

So today I am in search of a shiny headband.
